Incident resulted from showdown between 2 gangs
BOGOTA
Gunmen killed 17 people during a funeral in the Mexican state of Michoacan on Sunday.
In the footage shared on social media, it is seen that the gunmen, who got out of two open-top pickup trucks, suddenly entered a house, where a funeral was held in the city of San Jose de Gracia, and opened fire.
The State Attorney General’s Office started an investigation into the attack.
It is expected that the incident resulted from the showdown between the two gangs.
In 2021, it was reported that 33,308 people died in Mexico due to the war of drug gangs.
