It was a successful hybrid forum, when the Indonesian Embassy Abuja and Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Lagos, held the 2022 Trade Expo Indonesia Sensitization Forum, with theme: Promotion & Socialization of Trade Expo Indonesia, held on site at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In his remarks to declare the forum open, His Excellency, the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Usra Hendra Harahap, welcomed participants (onsite and virtual) and requested them to seize the opportunity of the event to seek clarifications about the forthcoming Indonesia Trade Expo in the areas of visas, Indonesian participating companies and other information they need to make their travel and participation successful. He assured participants of the full support of the Indonesian Embassy Abuja and ITPC Lagos.

The representative of Indonesia Ministry of Trade Jakarta, Merry Indriasari, encouraged participants to participate in this auspicious expo, considering this is the first hybrid expo with onsite participation since the outbreak of COVID 19.

The Indonesia Trade Expo Representative, Madam Anna, made a comprehensive presentation to participants, covering topics like airport reception arrangements for participants, shuttle vehicles, visas, official expo hotels, expo venue arrangements as well as participating Indonesian companies.

Tamel Vinsen Sinabutar, Minister Counsellor in charge of economic affairs, Indonesian Embassy Abuja, anchored the event.

Director of Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Lagos, Hendro Jonathan, as the Chief Host of the Sensitization Forum, ensured adequate preparations and mobilization of participants that guaranteed a successful event.

The event had in attendance the Representative of National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines & Agriculture (NACCIMA); Executive Secretary, Nigeria – Indonesia Commercial Association (NICA), Dr. Elvis Enyioko; President, Nigeria – Indonesia Chamber of Commerce, Ishmael Balogun; participants from various chambers in Nigeria, business leaders from various sectors and participants that joined virtually across Nigeria.
