DHAKA, Bangladesh – Following a bomb threat on board, a Malaysia Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday.
With 135 passengers on board, the Malaysian flight touched the runway at Dhaka airport about 9:40 p.m.
After receiving information that a passenger on the flight was carrying a bomb, authorities tightened security at the airport.
However, during the initial search, authorities found no explosives on board Flight MH-198, according to an airport official.
“The security personnel has finished the search, but they did not find any bomb or explosives,” the airport’s Executive Director Group Captain Touhid-ul Ahsan informed the press around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
