Indonesian Ambassador and Director Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Lagos, facilitated the participation of delegation from West African countries like Nigeria, Ghana an Cameroon to the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), which held at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD Tangerang, Banten, 19-23 October 2022. The event was officially opened by President Joko Widodo together with the Ministry of Trade Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan, on 19 October.
West Africa had great representation of 145 registered business men and women from Indonesian Embassy’s accredited countries, from Nigeria (141 buyers), Ghana (3 buyer) and Cameroon (1 buyer).
Indonesia Embassy Abuja received a prestigious award, PRIMA DUTA AWARD 2022, on behalf of Nigerian company, Tirta Ayu Spa Nigeria, as the best and only Indonesian services importer from the world.
A total transaction value of USD 12,579,679 million, was recorded from Indonesia Embassy’s accredited countries in West Africa, with details as follows:
A. TRADE COMMITMENT REACHED
There are five trade commitments signed on the 2nd day of Trade Expo Indonesia with total transaction USD 6,106,679:
- PT. Don Artha Makmur (Indonesia) with International Invesment Group Plc (Kamerun) for Rice milling Machineries with value USD 89.179.
- CV. Arbi Indonesia (Indonesia) with International Invesment Group Plc (Cameroon) for Fertilizer Organic with value USD 50.000.
- PT. Turrima Agro Mass (Indonesia) dengan International Invesment Group Plc (Cemeroon) for Fertilizer Organic with value USD 4.000.000.
- PT. Green Agri Indonesia (Indonesia) dengan International Invesment Group Plc (Cameroon) for Fertilizer Organic with value USD 1,937,500.
- PT. Plastic Injection (Indonesia) dengan Makhis Global Link Ltd (Nigeria) for kitchen Hardware with value USD 30.000.
B. COUNTER TRADE (BARTER)
- Noble Head Trading Company Limited (Ghana) and Perusahaan Barter Indonesia (PBI) for cocoa bean and coco paste counter trade with cooking oil.
- Nigerian company Bob link Nigeria limited and PT Perusahaan Barter Indonesia.
- Important transactions created at the fair ground had value of USD 973.000 that progressed till the end of the trade expo on 23 October 2022, with the following products, muslem wears, margarine, cooking oil, wooden block, human hair, eye lashes, agriculture machineries, herbal products, spare parts, ceramics, etc.
On the outcome of the 37 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), the Ambassador of Indonesian to Nigeria, H E Usra Hendra Harahap, said, “The 37th Trade Expo Indonesia was successful at deepening the growth and development of trade between Indonesia and Nigeria, through trade deals and commitments that were signed at the expo.”
In his assessment of the expo, The Director of ITPC Lagos, Hendro Jonathan, said “The result of 37th Trade Expo Indonesia has shown the intent and willingness of business leaders from accredited countries, to do business with Indonesia, and sure the 38th edition of the expo shall build on the successes of the 37th.
