Come Tuesday 14th September 2021, the long awaited HALAL EXPO NIGERIA 2021 will open. Running till Thursday 16th September 2021, this international expo focuses on Nigeria’s growing demand for Sharia-compliant products. Nigeria has over 100 million Muslim population which makes it an ideal marketplace and a place worth trillions of Dollars.

Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Lagos, in her commitment at promoting mutual prosperity between Nigeria and Indonesia by facilitating international commerce and investment, has partnered with Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABUCCIMA) in the implementation of this important and strategic expo, taking into cognizance that Jakarta, the capital of The Republic of Indonesia, is the headquarters of the World Halal Food Council (WHFC) and the host city of the annual WHFC annual meeting.

Throwing more light on this partnership, Director ITPC Lagos, Mr. Hendro Manurung, talked of the importance of Halal in Indonesia, as a local law – the Halal Product Guarantee Law – had been introduced in Indonesia since 2014; and that ITPC Lagos will participate fully in the Halal Expo 2021, where Indonesia Halal products will be on display at its stand throughout the duration of the expo.
