JKU INSTITUTE OF LEADERSHIP AND COUNSELING (JILC) as part of activities of it’s formal inauguration and induction of Pioneer Fellows and Members, will host a NATIONAL DISCOURSE ON ILLEGAL MIGRATION AND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT ON VICTIMS AND SECURITY FORCES, on Thursday 12 October 2023, by 9am, at Nigerian Merit Award House, Maitama District, Abuja, with Mr. Laurent De Boeck, Chief of Mission, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Nigeria as Chief Guest of Honour and Speaker and Sir (Dr.) Mike Mbama Okiro, CFR, NPM, mni, the 13th indigenous Inspector-General of Police of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as Event Chairman.
Participants will cut across the wide spectrum of international and local stakeholders in the migration sector, to discuss on the debilitating effects of illegal migration and provide solutions on tackling this malady.
Members of the public in Abuja and it’s environs are invited to attend, as the event is open to all.
