S. Korea announces test of solid fuel space rocket

  • South Korea’s Defense Ministry has announced that it has conducted a successful test flight of a solid-propellant space rocket
  • Earlier that day, national media reported multiple citings of an unidentified flying object over the country’s airspace
  • In June South Korea’s second test launch of its domestically produced, liquid-engine Nuri rocket successfully sent several satellites into orbit

SEOUL, South Korea, South Korea’s Defense Ministry has announced that it has conducted a successful test flight of a solid-propellant space rocket.

Earlier that day, national media reported multiple citings of an unidentified flying object over the country’s airspace.

Also, in a major step in the development of its space program, in June South Korea’s second test launch of its domestically produced, liquid-engine Nuri rocket successfully sent several satellites into orbit.
