Winter is coming … but those wanting to have fun in the snow will have to travel to Lesotho to see any.
The Afriski Mountain Resort in the mountain kingdom has reported a light snowfall.
Martin Schultz said they received about 1cm of snow at about 7 pm on Friday night, with a further 1cm falling overnight at the resort.
He told The Witness that while no further snow is predicted, there is a cold front moving towards South Africa which could result in more of the white stuff falling from Thursday.
The South African Weather Service has also confirmed that no snow is expected to fall in the Drakensberg in the coming days.
