Major defense expo, named DSA 2022, to be held in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur on March 28-31

ISTANBUL

Turkish defense firm STM will exhibit its advanced defense technologies in a major defense expo, named DSA 2022, in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur.

At the event, scheduled to be held on March 28-31, the firm will showcase Turkiye’s first national frigate, the MILGEM Ada Class Corvette, the Coast Guard Ship CG-3100, and tactical mini-UAV systems ALPAGU, KARGU and TOGAN to Asia Pacific countries at the DSA 2022, according to a press release issued by the firm.

Murat Guleryuz, the general manager, said: “We are excited to exhibit our naval projects and mini UAV systems, which we developed with our national engineering capabilities, in Malaysia.

“With our innovative solutions and human resources, we want to sign important cooperation deals in Asia and improve the defense capacities of friendly and brotherly countries.”

STM is engaged in collaborations, technology transfer and business development activities in more than 20 countries, from South America to the Far East, according to the company’s website.

“STM produces Indigenous and flexible engineering solutions for the surface and submarine platforms of the Turkish Navy – one of the most active navies in the world – and those of friendly and allied nations, to address specific needs and ensure more effective mission performance,” it said.

STM’s striker and observer UAV systems, developed with its own engineering and technology, are effectively used by the Turkish security forces in border security, including cross-border operations, according to the firm.
