Further details about the positions and ranks of the individuals were not immediately disclosed.
In the early hours of Friday, Israeli forces attacked Iran, hitting nuclear and missile facilities and killing top military commanders and leading scientists, among others.
Iran responded with missiles Friday night, targeting several areas across Israel.
Israeli strikes on Iranian cities and facilities continued on Saturday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier said the military operation will continue as long as necessary.
