ANKARA

Qatar will hold Formula One Grand Prix for the first time in November 2021, the motorsports organization has announced on Thursday.

Losail International Circuit will hold its first-ever Grand Prix, 20th event of the 2021 season, on November 19-21, according to the statement from the F1 official website.

F1 stated that Qatar signed for an additional ten years to host, said: “There was a strong will from Qatar to be helpful to F1, and in the course of this process, the vision for a longer partnership was discussed and agreed for 10 years.”

F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali praised the efforts of the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), said: “We are very pleased to welcome Qatar to the Formula 1 calendar this season and for the longer term from 2023.”

There will be a three-part Middle Eastern ending to the 2021 season with the inclusion of the Qatar Grand Prix as the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held on December 3-5, and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be held on December 10-12.
