Kano State will ensure and maintain a strong educational tie with Egypt as a way of strengthening the existing relationship between the state and Egypt.

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, said this when he received an Egyptian delegation in his place.

According to him, Egypt and Kano in particular have enjoyed a very long historical relationship that has withstood the test of time.

The emir said both parties would benefit from the resolve to strengthen the already existing bilateral and educational relationship.

Earlier in his address, the Egyptian ambassador to Nigeria, Ihab Mustapha said his country would further boost the existing relationship with Kano State through the opening of its doors to Kano state students willing to study in Al-Azhar University for an improved educational standard.
