After Nigerian Super Eagles booked their place in the round of 16 of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with nine points, beating Guinea-Bissau 2-0, President Muhammadu Buhari charged the Super Eagles to win all other games in the tournament.

“The entire country looks forward with hope to a total of seven emphatic wins in this competition. Three down, four to go,” Mr Buhari said.

On Wednesday, the president stated this in his congratulatory message to the Super Eagles after the last group game against Guinea-Bissau.

Super Eagles on Wednesday became the first side to qualify into the round of 16 with maximum nine points.

The Super Eagles started their campaign, beating Pharaohs of Egypt 1-0. Then, the Eagles thrash Sudan 3-1 in their second game while ending the group game with an emphatic 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.
