SHARJAH, 13th June, 2022 (WAM) — The Poetry forums’ initiative in Africa, organised by Sharjah Department of Culture, continued its tour in several African countries, with their latest stop in Nigeria witnessing the launch of the first edition of the Arab Poetry Forum.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Dr. Khaled Hassan Abdullah, and a number of academicians and representatives of linguistic and scientific associations and Arab-Nigerian cultural clubs.
Ten poets participated in the poetry session which varied in its linguistic aspects.
The poems evoked the values of beauty, as well as an opportunity to learn about new cultures.
