Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State on Minday sworn-in Six New Judges of the State judiciary.
In a similar vein, Umahi has inaugurated the Management Board of Ebonyi State University Abakaliki and the State College of Education Ikwo.
Swearing in the new Judges at the Executive Council Chambers, comprising the President Customary Court of Appeal Justice Patrick Uhuo, Justice Agwu among others, Governor Umahi charged them to dispense justice with the fear of God.
Umahi commended the State Chief Judge Elvis Ngene, for excellent justice delivery in the State.

Earlier while inaugurating the Management of Ebonyi State University headed by the Vice Chancellor Professor Chigozie Ogbu, the deputy vice Chancellor [Academics] Professor Eugene Ṅweke, Governor Umahi said that the event was to avoid a vacuum in the system.
The Governor equally inaugurated the Management Staff of the State College of Education Ikwo with Professor Benedict Mbam as the Rector of the institution.
In a related development, Governor David Umahi, received the report of the Commission of Inquiry set up by the State Government to unravel the circumstances that led to the crisis that occured in Ekoli-Edda community in which lives were lost and property destroyed.
Umahi warned that any Ebubeagu member that infringed on the Rights of citizens will be arrested and prosecuted.
The State Chief Executive constituted a Committee comprising the deputy Governor Kelechi Igwe, Secretary to State Government Kenneth Ugbala, Principal Secretary Emmanuel Obasi among others, to review the report and recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of the Commission Senator Soni Ogbuoji, said that the members identified Political Supremacy, Leadership Tuzzle and Ezeship issue as causes of the conflict.

On the killing of the wife of Ebubeagu Commander in Owutu Edda, Senator Ogbuoji said that the Commission recommended that security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
‘We would not want the morale of the Commander to be dampened, he lost his wife and his two houses destroyed’
In attendance at the event included the Chief Judge of Ebonyi State Elvis Ngene, ex-Chief Judge Alloy Nwankwo, deputy Governor Kelechi Igwe, members of the State Executive Council, Commissioner for Justice Cletus Ofoke, members of the State judiciary, etc.
