Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Saturday’s election of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, lost his local government to the incumbent governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Mr Aiyedatiwa is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the election.

Mr Ajayi scored 7, 813 votes, losing his LG to Aiyedatiwa, who scored 14,511.

A total of 17 political parties took part in the exercise.

Results are as follows:

Ese – Odo LGA

APC – 14,511

PDP – 7,813

Total Registered Voters – 84,888

Valid Votes – 22,551

Rejected Votes – 417

Accredited voters – 22,975Total Votes cast – 22,968
