Governor Hope Uzodinma has reiterated his position that politicians were gassing the insecurity in Imo State.

Uzodinma warned them to “repent and refrain or be ready to face the wrath of God”.

He made the comment on Tuesday during a condolence visit to the Police Commissioner, Abutu Yaro over the death of officers during gunmen attacks.

The Governor described the security agency as the last hope of the common man.

Uzodinma stated that if the police are continually targeted, the protection of Nigerians are compromised.

He charged operatives to continue to display gallantry and prepare to defend themselves against aggression.

Uzodinma appealed to the Divisional Police Officers to apprehend criminals in the communities within their areas of supervision.

The Imo helmsman thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba for their support towards curtailing the situation in the State.
