Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has joined Goldman Sachs Group as a senior advisor.

Goldman Sachs, a global financial institution, announced Mr Sunak’s appointment in a statement on Tuesday.

David Solomon, CEO and chairman of Goldman Sachs, expressed delight in Mr Sunak’s appointment, saying the former Prime Minister will advise the financial organisation’s clients globally.

“I am excited to welcome Rishi back to Goldman Sachs in his new capacity as a Senior Advisor,” Mr Solomon said.

The former British prime minister will work with leaders across the firm to advise our clients globally on a range of important topics, sharing his unique perspectives and insights on the macroeconomic and geopolitical landscape, according to the statement.

Mr Sunak’s role includes spending time with “our people around the world, contributing to our culture of ongoing learning and development”.

Mr Sunak was the UK prime minister between October 2022 and July 2024.
