The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday applauded First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for her compassionate and inclusive leadership through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

APC’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, said in a statement in Lagos that the initiative had redefined social empowerment and national compassion under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Mr Oladejo said the programme was designed to reach Nigerians across regions and social classes with practical support and economic opportunities.

“The RHI is not a routine government pet project but a bold extension of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.

According to him, the initiative has provided scholarships, empowerment grants, agricultural support, and entrepreneurship training to thousands nationwide.

Mr Oladejo said the First Lady had shown that governance could be humane, impactful, and inclusive.

He described Mrs Tinubu as a mother to the nation and a friend to the vulnerable.

“The Renewed Hope Initiative is not a publicity stunt but a structured social investment anchored on sustainability,” he said.

Mr Oladejo said the RHI’s interventions are tailored to meet community needs, from women empowerment in Katsina to flood relief in Bayelsa.

According to him, the initiative complements the president’s reforms by addressing human needs at the grassroots level.

He said the synergy between the presidency and the office of the First Lady had strengthened the inclusiveness of government programmes.

“This partnership ensures that no one is left behind in the Renewed Hope revolution,” Mr Oladejo said.

He noted that the RHI unites Nigerians across religion, ethnicity, and politics through compassion and shared prosperity.

“For us in Lagos, the success of the RHI is no surprise,” Mr Oladejo said.

He commended Mrs Tinubu for redefining leadership through service and compassion.

“The RHI has proven that Renewed Hope is not a slogan but a movement of compassion and empowerment,” he said.
