The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has alerted the public to a fake invitation letter circulating online, purportedly issued to one Abubakar Washima, claiming that he was selected for admission into the academy.

The academy, in a statement by its public relations officer, Maj. Reuben Kovangiya, said the letter did not originate from the NDA and should be disregarded.

It explained that all authentic invitations for screening or admission into the institution were communicated only through the official NDA website: www.nda.edu.ng, and some recognised national dailies.

The NDA advised members of the public to exercise caution, verify all admission information through official channels, and promptly report any suspicious documents or activities for verification.

The academy warned that anyone found engaging in such fraudulent acts would face the full wrath of the law.
