Scores of angry residents have taken to the streets after gunmen attacked Angwan Rukuba in Jos North LGA of Plateau on Sunday night.

The demonstration, which was captured in a TikTok livestream, revealed hundreds of protesters at the scene of the attack, defying the 48-hour curfew imposed by the government.

It was gathered that the protest started as early as 9am, with angry residents demanding urgent actions from the government to stop the killings.

Bandits launched a deadly attack on Angwan Rukuba on Sunday, killing an unspecified number of residents while leaving others severely injured.

Police spokesperson, SP Alfred Alabo, could not be immediately reached to confirm the number of casualties or the efforts underway to restore normalcy in the area.
