After the FIFA 2026 World Cup, Spain, Argentina and France were ranked first, second and third, respectively, while Senegal, Egypt and Nigeria were ranked 18th, 24th and 26th, respectively, in the latest FIFA Men’s World Ranking.

The ranking, published on the FIFA website on Monday, a day after Spain defeated Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final, listed 211 countries from first to 211th.

The winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Spain, moved up one place to displace Argentina from the top spot, with 1,995.88 points, while Argentina dropped one place to second with 1,970.37 points.

France are third in the rankings with 1,948.97 points, while England are fourth with 1,922.83 points. Norway moved up 12 places as the “biggest climber,” rising to 19th with 1,651.29 points.

In Africa, Morocco lead the continent, ranking sixth with 1,803.99 points, while Senegal are 18th with 1,653.43 points. Egypt are 24th with 1,597.04 points, while Nigeria are ranked 26th with 1,585.02 points.

The trio of Morocco, Senegal and Egypt played at the just-concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the U.S., Mexico and Canada, while Nigeria missed out after failing to qualify for the tournament.
