Eti-Osa local government has reaffirmed its commitment to improved staff welfare and a conducive working environment to motivate employees to contribute meaningfully to the council’s development.

The chairman of the council, Adeola Adetoro, said this during the presentation of a brand-new 32-seater staff bus to the workforce at the council’s secretariat in Lagos.

Ms Adetoro said that the new staff bus formed part of her administration’s commitment to staff welfare, improved mobility and enhanced service delivery.

She said the bus underscored the important role staff play in the effective administration and development of the area.

The chairman said that a motivated and well-supported workforce remained critical to achieving the administration’s vision and delivering quality services to residents.
‎
‎”The new staff bus is expected to provide improved transportation support for staff, particularly during official assignments, programmes and other local government activities, while promoting greater efficiency and convenience.
‎
‎”The initiative further reflects my administration’s HEYIGA Agenda, which places emphasis not only on infrastructural and community development but also on the welfare and productivity of the workforce,” she said.
‎
Anthony Oluyemi, the chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Eti-Osa chapter, appreciated the chairman for the initiative.

Mr Oluyemi described the new staff bus as a clear demonstration of Adetoro’s commitment to the welfare of the workforce. ‎He also commended the chairman for the various welfare interventions and initiatives she had undertaken since assuming office.

The NULGE chairman said that her consistent attention to staff welfare had boosted workers’ morale and created a more conducive working environment.
‎
‎He expressed the entire workforce’s appreciation to Ms Adetoro, assuring her of continued support and cooperation in achieving the administration’s goals and delivering quality service to the people of Eti-Osa.
