U.S. military judge has ruled that the mastermind of 9/11 attack, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and three others will stand trial in 2028.

The judge, Michael Schrama, on Wednesday ruled Mr Mohammed’s trial will begin on June 5, 2028.

Mr Mohammed, who was behind the 9/11 attacks that claimed over 3000 lives, has been held in Guantanamo Cuba military base since 2003.

His trial will come almost 25 years after the devastating attack that shook America.
