The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a maintenance exercise at its 330/132kV Gwagwalada, Abuja Transmission Substation.
In a statement on Wednesday, the company said the exercise would begin that day and last for three hours, noting that maintenance crews would be at work between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
“The three-hour exercise will enable TCN maintenance crew to carry out urgent maintenance on the 33kV 6MVA earthing reactor at the substation,” it said.
It said the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company would be unable to off-take electricity to customers around Aso Villa, Asokoro, African Medical Centre, Kabusa, EFAB Estate, Apo Resettlement, Zone E Extension, Trademoore, and adjoining areas.
The company further apologised for any inconvenience this will cause electricity customers in the affected areas.
