Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has said presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for 2027 poll? Peter Obi, has lost his political momentum and no longer a force to reckon with.

He also stated the the African Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, did nothing when he had the opportunity as vice president.

Mr Wike, in an interview with journalists chat on Thursday, said he killed Mr Obi’s political momentum, adding the NDC candidate has nothing to offer.

“All these Obi kererenke does not exist. I have killed it,” Mr Wike said. “Nigerians know Obi is orphan. He is now a dramatist.”

Berating Mr Abubakar and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, Mr Wike said “Nigerians know that Atiku and co have been given the opportunity and they did not do anything. Nigerians know that the former governor of Rivers State looted our state. Nigerians know that Obi has nothing to offer. You were there when Soludo opened a can of worms.”

Reminded of the suprise Mr Obi sprang during the 2023 presidential election in which he polled ober sic million votes and how he could cause 2027 election to extend into a rerun, Mr Wike said Mr Obi’s political clout was gone.

“Which Obi wave? It is dead and buried. How many people are contributing for him today,” Mr Wike said.

Meanwhile, the duo of Messrs Abubakar and Obi are currently wooing the electorate to choose them as a replacement for President Bola Tinubu.

While Mr Obi claimed to be the most competent in the race, Mr Abubakar promised to restore fuel subsidy on locally produced fuel to make cost of living affordable for Nigerians.
