Accident cases topped list as LSCCC recorded 12,483 emergency incidents in Lagos in 2025

The Lagos State Command and Control Centre (LSCCC) recorded 12,483 emergency incidents between January and December 2025.

The general manager, Femi Giwa, disclosed this to journalists in Lagos.

Mr Giwa said the centre coordinated responses through the state’s toll-free emergency lines 767 and 112.

He said accident-related emergencies accounted for the highest number, with 2,504 incidents recorded during the period.

He said medical emergencies followed with 2,397 cases, while fire-related incidents, including vehicle fires, totalled 2,165.

According to him, civil disturbances accounted for 799 cases, while traffic congestion-related incidents stood at 598.

He said robbery-related incidents totalled 445, while infrastructure-related cases, including electric pole sparks and pipeline vandalism, were 362.

The general manager also said the centre recorded 57 building collapse cases, 388 incidents of violence and rape, and 54 domestic violence cases.

He said  analysis of emergency incidents recorded by the local government areas (LGAs) showed Alimosho recorded the highest number with 1,697 incidents.

“Eti-Osa LGA followed with 1,444 incidents, while Ikeja LGA ranked third with 1,282 cases.

“Oshodi-Isolo recorded 1,012 incidents, Kosofe 987, Ikorodu 786, Surulere 663 and Lagos Island 562.

“Ibeju-Lekki had 528 cases, Amuwo-Odofin 527, Lagos Mainland 512, Agege 429 and Mushin 379.

“Ojo recorded 340 incidents, Shomolu 326 and Ifako-Ijaiye 296,” Mr Giwa said.

He added that Badagry recorded 267 incidents, Apapa 204, Epe 182, while Ajeromi-Ifelodun had the lowest with 153 cases.
