NEW YORK: New York: Dozens of officials in the office of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’ have been subpoenaed, as the New York Attorney probes accusations of sexual harassment by Cuomo, reported the Wall Street Journal.
Specifically, the Journal reported that Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa received a subpoena, along with others.
Following inquiries, there was no immediate response from Cuomo’s office.
The 63-year old Cuomo has repeated that he would not resign, following accusations of inappropriate behavior directed towards women on his staff.
A second scandal to hit his office involves the alleged under-reporting of nursing home deaths from COVID-19.
Earlier, Cuomo denied any wrongdoing, though he acknowledged his “custom” to hug and kiss people when greeting them.
He also has apologized if his behavior had made “people feel uncomfortable.”
