“I’m appealing to security operatives to please help rescue my husband from the hands of his abductors,’’ the naval officer’s wife begged.”

Bandits have allegedly abducted a naval officer from his Lokoja residence and demanded a N3 million ransom.

His spouse, Juliana, told journalists on Tuesday in Lokoja, that the kidnappers invaded their home on Monday evening and abducted the naval officer.

Mrs Juliana said the kidnappers destroyed their doors and windows to enter their residence.

She said the bandits made a telephone call to her one hour after the abduction to demand a N3 million ransom for the release of her husband.

“I don’t know why this happened to us. My husband had prepared to go back to his station in Abuja on Tuesday morning before this unfortunate incident.

“I’m appealing to security operatives to please help rescue my husband from the hands of his abductors,’’ the naval officer’s wife begged.

When contacted, a police spokesman in Kogi, Williams Ovye-Ayah, said, “we are not aware of the incident.’’
