The musician has threatened to name and shame banks aiding fraudsters using his name to scam people.

Musician Peter Okoye (Psquare), popularly called Mr P, on Friday raised the alarm that some Nigerian banks are aiding fraudsters to defraud people using his name.

“How can banks allow someone to open an account in the name of Peter Okoye Psquare without valid means of identification, no biometrics, no BVN, no verified address or even utility bill to correspond with the address of the account owner,” Mr P asked.

“Now they are using my name to scam innocent people! I am suing these Banks for damages and calling them out soon! #Fraudalert,” he added in an Instagram post.

The musician who did not mention any bank involved in the corrupt practice, threatened to name and shame banks aiding fraudsters using his name to scam people.

“Enough is enough!!! This is 2022. I will soon start calling some banks out! It’s either an inside job or otherwise!,” Mr P said. “I have a name to protect here and save some of these innocent victims! So get ready for me and my legal team!”
