The Bureau of Public Procurement is set to host stakeholder forums to engage contractors, consultants, service providers, and other key stakeholders in Nigeria’s public procurement ecosystem.
A statement on Friday by BPP said that the meetings would be held from February 17 to February 26 in Kano and Lagos.
It said, “The objectives of the meetings include engaging contractors, consultants, service providers, and civil society organisations in a dialogue on the MAPS framework and its benefits for Nigeria’s procurement system.
“It will also provide opportunities for stakeholders to offer feedback and input on the development of a national procurement strategy,” he said.
The statement explained that the meetings were further aimed at aligning Nigeria’s procurement reform agenda with the role of every stakeholder in its successful implementation.
He listed the participants expected at the meetings as representatives of government institutions, private-sector operators, professional bodies, civil society organisations, and development partners involved in procurement oversight, advocacy, and service delivery.
