Abus carrying no fewer than 18 serving members of the National Youth Service Corps suddenly burst into flames on Tuesday in Delta.

The commercial bus was conveying them from the orientation camp at Issele-Uku, in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the Delta  state to their place of primary assignment (PPA) in Warri.

Luckily, no life was lost, Peoples Gazette learnt.

Some of the corps members, however, lost their valuables, including luggages and phones, to the inferno.

The state NYSC spokesperson, Chidi Nnorom, confirmed the incident to The Gazette, saying, “Yes, it happened. But we thank God no life was lost.”

Police spokesman in Delta State, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments.

The cause of the explosion was also not stated.
