Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo has ordered the immediate closure of Mai Asubahi Night Club and Gidan Barau, both in Ore and Odigbo LGAs.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday in Akure by Richard Olatunde, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Akeredolu explained that the order became expedient following growing security concerns raised by residents of Ore.

According to Mr Olatunde, the outfits were ordered to be shut down following criminal activities by a gang known as “Zamfara Boys’’ who specialise in peddling hard drugs and engaging in underage commercial sex hawking.

The governor has, consequently, ordered the Commander of the State Security Network, (Amotekun) to mobilise personnel to effect the directive, Mr Olatunde stated.
