ISTANBUL
Israeli forces conducted an airstrike in an attempt to target the Houthi military chief in Yemen on Saturday, military sources told The Times of Israel newspaper.
“The Israeli Air Force tried to assassinate the chief of staff of the Houthi Ansar Allah movement in Yemen, Abdullah al-Ghammari,” the Israeli Channel 12 reported, without revealing the outcome of the operation.
As of 2100 GMT, neither the Houthi group or Israeli military officials have issued an official statement regarding the operation.
