The police in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned two men before the Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for having a toy gun.

The defendants, Saibu Abdulahi,20, and Aliyu Umar,25, are charged with felony and breach of peace.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, ASP Clément Okuiomose, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on March 15, at about 5:30.p.m, at Ganyingbo Topa, Badagry, Lagos.

Mr Okuoimose said the defendants conspired to commit felony to wit possession of one toy gun.

He said the defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace because they had a toy gun.

The chief magistrate, T.A. Popoola, admitted the defendant to bail of N200,000, each with two sureties each in like sum.

Popoola adjourned the case until April 23 for mention.
