The NDLEA said they and others were arrested with quantities of cannabis and Molly in their car and apartment.
Nigerian artistes Mohbad and Zinolesky have reportedly been arrested and placed in custody by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
In the early hours of Thursday, February 24, NDLEA officers reportedly broke into the house of the musicians without warrant, harassed and manhandled everyone on sight, including female guests.
In an Instagram live session covering the incident, the NDLEA officials were seen handcuffing the singers, who expressed displeasure at their mandhandling by the anti-drug law officers.
Mohbad could be seen questioning the officers saying, “Did I steal? Make you commot am first”, pointing to his wrist, showing the injuries the handcuffs and manhandling had already caused.
Others kept asking the NDLEA officers for their search warrant.
Speaking on the operation, the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, told Peoples Gazette that six persons were arrested with quantities of cannabis and Molly in their car and apartment.
He listed four males and two females: Owoeye Michael, Abimbola Ogbe, Chinwe Dominica, Olaolorun Subomi Mariam, Ibrahim Alawo and Oniyide Azeez.
On the legality of the search without a warrant, Mr Babafemi said the operation was based on “Actionable Intelligence” and that the “NDLEA ID card also serves as a search and arrest warrant.”
