Mr Obi said that “The funds will be used to cover expenses for our polling unit agents and logistics on election day.”

Peter Obi has called on his supporters to donate in support of Lasun Yusuf, the Labour Party candidate for the July 16 Osun governorship election.

“I make a passionate plea for your generous donations to our party’s governorship candidate; Rt. Hon. Lasun Yusuf of the Labour Party,” Mr Obi said.

In a statement shared on Doyin Okupe’s Facebook page on Monday, Mr Obi said that the Osun governorship election would “begin the process of taking back Nigeria.”

The 2023 presidential candidate for LP, Mr Obi further explained that “The funds will be used to cover expenses for our polling unit agents and logistics on election day.”

Mr Lasun of LP will slug it out at the polls, slated for this weekend, with Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party and incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who is seeking a second and final term.
