Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Ukraine continues ‘hostile actions’ against Russia
MOSCOW
Moscow is aware that Kyiv was behind the drone attack on the Kremlin earlier this month, the presidential spokesman said on Thursday.
Commenting on media reports that the US believes Ukraine’s military intelligence is responsible for the May 3 attack, Dmitry Peskov said: “We immediately said that the Kyiv regime is behind this.”
“In the end, it doesn’t make much difference which of the divisions of the Kyiv regime is behind this. The Kyiv regime is behind this, we know this, we are aware of this,” he stressed.
Peskov added that Ukraine continues “hostile actions” against Russia, citing as an example alleged attempts to attack nuclear power stations Leningrad and Kalinin.
The Kremlin had earlier said Ukraine attempted to strike the Russian presidential residence with two drones, which were shot down.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other officials, however, deny any involvement.
