The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr Sam Amadi, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu is likely to secure victory in the Middle Belt region during the 2027 presidential election.

Amadi stated that his prediction hinges on just two strategic “moves” by Tinubu and Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi, before he would confidently call the region in Tinubu’s favour.

The former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) made the remark in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.

His statement comes amid reports of the defection of former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to Amadi, such political realignments appear to be strengthening Tinubu’s chances in the Middle Belt.

“They are making it easier for Tinubu to win the Middle Belt. It depends on just two moves from Tinubu and Peter Obi, and I’ll call the zone for Tinubu,” he wrote.
