Operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) have invaded the Abuja office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).

In a post on its X platform on Monday, SERAP said the operatives are demanding to see its directors.

It demanded that President Bola Tinubu order the SSS operatives to leave its premises immediately.

It read, “Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.”

“President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation, and attack on the rights of Nigerians,” it demanded.

The invasion by the SSS came barely two days after SERAP gave the Tinubu-led government 24 hours to order the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to reverse the hike in prices of fuel and also probe the corruption in the NNPCL or face legal action.
