REDMOND, Washington: After announcing that Starlink now offers satellite internet in seven more countries, reaching a total of 32 countries worldwide, the company has yet again disclosed that it has increased its service to 35 countries.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX operates Starlink, which has over 1,500 low-Earth-orbit satellites.

In a tweet, Musk confirmed that his satellite internet service company has received clearance to operate in Nigeria, Mozambique and the Philippines.

In Nigeria, Ubale Maska, Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Communication Commission, said that the country aims to encourage competition and ensure room for new technologies to thrive.

Meanwhile, the National Telecommunications Commission of the Philippines also confirmed that Starlink Internet Services Philippines Inc can now provide satellite internet services nationwide.

The Philippines is the first country in Asia Pacific to use Starlink as a service provider.

While focusing on other regions, Musk still aims to enter India, the second-largest smartphone market in the world, where Starlink has yet to receive approval to operate.
