Super Eagles star and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi, aka 17, has released a debut nine-track music album, ‘More To Life’.
The Nigerian international earlier announced the project on his Instagram handle ahead of its April 9th release, revealing the tracklist, cover art, and featured artists.
The project includes collaborations with Fido, Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana (under the stage name 24am), Teniola Time, Gidi, and SPKS.
The nine tracks on the album are Track 0, Mine, Bussdown, Joanna, Proper, Double Double, By My Side, Joga Bonito, and Letter.
Alex launched his music career in 2024 using the stage name ‘17’, which references his shirt number, showcasing his life outside the pitch.
In June that year, he dropped his first EP ‘Don’t Shoot’, featuring two songs: ‘Don’t Shoot’ with his former Arsenal teammate Chuba Akpom (aka Scoli), and ‘Don EE and Sunrise in Paris’ with SPKS; the project addresses the growing rate of youth violence.
He followed up with another single in October and released the song, ‘What’s Luv?’ featuring a collaboration with SPKS and MBrown.
Before dropping the fan-favourite rap song ‘Hop Out’ in 2025, he tapped into both the UK’s and Nigerian sound, featuring ODUMODUBLVCK and British rapper Ramz.
Iwobi began his football career at Arsenal, coming through the club’s academy, and made his senior debut under Arsene Wenger, helping the team win the FA Cup in 2017.
In 2019, he moved to Everton for a brief spell and developed into a more complete midfielder under Frank Lampard. In 2023, he moved back to London to join Fulham.
At the international level, he debuted for the Super Eagles in 2015 and has since been a key player, earning over 90 appearances for Nigeria.
