Florence Ajimobi, wife of a former Oyo State governor and recently appointed ambassador by President Bola Tinubu, has vowed that the 2027 election in Oyo State will be war, boasting that she has the support of the federal government to dislodge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

In a viral video seen online on Saturday, Mrs Ajimobi made the threat while addressing her supporters.

“We are going to war in 2027. It is going to be war. Head on war. PDP must go. Whatever they want to do, whatever tricks, all power belongs to God. We will beg God. And we are going to fight,” Mrs Ajimobi said.

The former first lady and APC chieftain also boasted that her party has what it takes to confront the PDP-led government in Oyo State.

“Whatever they have at the state, we have at the federal level. They have money. We have money, we have all the support we need. We are not going to be intimidated. Let them get ready for us. We are ready for them,” Mrs Ajimobi said.

Mrs Ajimobi’s remarks come a year ahead of the general elections. In the past, elections in Nigeria have been characterised by violence and malpractices.
