LONDON, England: Of the 14 main battle tanks and additional artillery support it will send to Ukraine, Britain hopes its Challenger 2 tanks will arrive in the country by the end of March.
“The intention is that it will be at the end of March,” defence department minister Alex Chalk told parliament. He said between now and then, Ukrainian forces would be trained on how to operate and maintain the vehicles.
Other nations, including the United States and Germany, have also committed to supply tanks, which Kyiv sees as a potential turning point in its battle to repel Russia’s invasion.
