NAIROBI

The largest military exercise of the US African Command is currently being led by the US Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) in East Africa.

Hosted by Kenya for the fourth year in a row, this year the 11-day Justified Accord is welcoming around 1,300 personnel from 15 countries through Friday, said a press release.

Brig. Gen. John LeBlanc, deputy commanding general of SETAF-AF, on Tuesday visited participating soldiers alongside Command Sgt. Maj. James Campbell of the US Massachusetts National Guard. The latter presented medals to the participants.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Massachusetts National Guard’s partnership with the Kenya Defense Forces, reflecting a decade of ongoing military cooperation, exchange training, and capacity-building.
