At least 52 people have died in the South American country of Bolivia due to floods caused by heavy rains in the last three months.
According to local press reports on Saturday, the rains affected many cities, particularly La Paz, resulting in numerous casualties and property damage.
Since the beginning of the rainy season in the country, 52 people have died and five others have gone missing.
The authorities said heavy rains caused flooding in 133 towns, affecting 51,668 people.
The rains also destroyed 911 houses, while 1,251 houses were partially damaged, prompting a “red alert” in some areas.
