The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State says it will operate free buses for residents traveling home for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a statement on Sunday, the council quoted its Chairman, Abdullahi Sesan-Olowa, as saying the initiative is aimed at helping Muslim residents reunite with their families for the festival.
“The buses will pick passengers beginning from Tuesday May 26, at CMS bus stop and Ikorodu garage, to Ibeju-Lekki in five trips,” he said.
He urged interested residents to register through the link https://forms.gle/SFczs2tsHgVynP9e7 or call 08055678973 for enquiries.
The federal government had declared Wednesday and Thursday public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
