The U.S. Consulate General has fixed August 5 for the graduation of young Nigerian entrepreneurs who have completed the manufacturing incubation programme.
The programme is supported by the U.S. government as part of the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The incubation programme is the brainchild of Roberta Edu, a beneficiary of the Mandela Washington Fellowship and is financed by the U.S. Department of State’s Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF).
Acting Consul General Julie McKay will deliver key remarks at the event to highlight the U.S.’s commitment to entrepreneurship and fruitful partnerships to promote economic growth.
The incubation programme is aimed at sharpening the creative and business skills of young entrepreneurs while deepening commercial ties between the U.S. and Nigeria.
The graduation is scheduled to be held at the Women Development Centre, Ogba, Lagos, and will feature an awards presentation, product exhibition, success stories, and more.
