A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, has called for active diaspora participation in governance, to foster their contribution to national development.
Mrs Animashaun-Ajiboye, a former Lagos governorship aspirant based in the United States, made the appeal in an interview with journalists on Sunday in Abuja.
She noted that many Nigerians living in the diaspora had multiple skills and experiences, which when repatriated home, would advance national development.
She prayed that the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians abroad will be renewed in 2026, to afford them a chance in the government of their motherland.
Meanwhile, she commended the resilience of Nigerians in 2025, and called for their continued support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu, and his vision of enthroning a better society for all.
Mrs Animashaun-Ajiboye wished the APC leadership, diaspora members and Nigerians at large, a prosperous, peaceful and inclusive 2026.
