LONDON, July 10 (Xinhua) — Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina came from behind to defeat Tunisian world No. 2 Ons Jabeur 2-1 at the Wimbledon Championships on Saturday, becoming the first Kazak to win the women’s singles title.

Both players were Grand Slam final debutants. Jabeur broke twice to win the opening set 6-3, but the 23-year-old Rybakina calmly found her way back to take the second set 6-2.

In the deciding set, an aggressive Rybakina broke in the first and seventh game to claim the victory 6-2.
